Masterclasses

In addition to the program of the 2025 Nervi International Ballet Festival and the evening performances on the prestigious stages of Nervi and Genoa, there will be nine masterclasses dedicated to young aspiring dancers who will have the opportunity to study with important Maestros involved in the international dance scene.

For the Festival’s artistic director, Jacopo Bellussi, this initiative is very important: “I took my first dance steps in Genoa and I would have really appreciated it if, at that time, internationally trained professionals had come to my hometown to teach me ballet. I consider it a duty, for such a great festival, to involve future generations of artists and allow them access to high-level training and culture through dedicated initiatives and reduced-price tickets.”

The masterclasses take place in the afternoon, even on days when there are performances by companies participating in the Festival. The teachers and Maître de ballet involved in the project give one or two lessons a day to a maximum of 30 students. During the enrollment phase, priority is given to students who purchase the “show + masterclass” package, an opportunity designed to allow the fruition of both the lessons and the final product staged by the companies.
