aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The performance of the <strong>B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne,<\/strong> in Nervi on its only Italian date with this programme, will see the ballet company perform three choreographies.<br\/><strong><em>Alors on danse\u2026 !<\/em><\/strong>, by Gil Roman, with music by John Zorn, Citypercussion and Bob Dylan was first performed at the Lausanne Opera House on 11 February 2022. Roman&#8217;s work, dedicated to the dancer Patrick Dupond, aims to create a choreographic sequence inspired by classical ballet that celebrates the pure pleasure of dance in a light atmosphere. This is followed by <em><strong>Liebe und Tod,<\/strong><\/em> composed of two <em>pas de deux<\/em> by Maurice B\u00e9jart from the early 2000s, to music from Gustav Mahler&#8217;s <em>Des Knaben Wunderhorn<\/em>. <em>Liebe und Tod<\/em> brings together a choreography created earlier, on the Lid <em>Wo die sch\u00f6nen Trompeten blasen<\/em>, and a second choreography dedicated to Gil Roman on the Lid <em>Der Tamboursg&#8217;sell<\/em>. The programme ends with <em><strong>7 danses grecques<\/strong><\/em>, created by Maurice B\u00e9jart in 1983 to music by Mikis Theodorakis and inspired by Greek folklore. B\u00e9jart&#8217;s research is oriented towards a direct and sincere expression of the Greek popular spirit.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since its inception in 1987, the <strong> B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne<\/strong> has been a reference point in the dance world. Since Maurice B\u00e9jart&#8217;s death in 2007, the company has been maintaining its artistic excellence. Maurice B\u00e9jart always wanted to open up the world of ballet to a wider audience. Animated by the same spirit, the BBL dancers perform all over the world. The B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne is one of the very few companies capable of filling such immense spaces as the NHK Hall in Tokyo, the Kremlin State Palace in Moscow, the Herodes Atticus Odeon in Athens, the Palais des congr\u00e8s in Paris, the Forest National in Brussels or the Patinoire in Malley-Lausanne.<br\/>Since 2007, under its artistic direction, the Ballet B\u00e9jart de Lausanne has maintained and developed a vast repertoire, at the heart of which remains the work of Maurice B\u00e9jart, with emblematic choreographies such as <em>Le Sacre du Printemps<\/em>, <em>Bol\u00e9ro<\/em>, <em>The Ninth Symphony<\/em> o <em>Ballet for Life<\/em>. Choreographers such as Alonzo King, Tony Fabre, Christophe Garcia, Giorgio Madia, Yuka Oishi or Julio Arozarena have contributed to the creative development of the B\u00e9jart Ballet.
